The facade for 80 Atlantic Ave in Toronto is progressing nicely! It is the first heavy timber commercial building constructed in Ontario in almost a century. The Ceramitex, sintered ceramic facade system makes the job of installation faster and easier. The architect, Quadrangle, chose to use the large format panels, using the colour Marfil, to give a natural feel that fit nicely with the heritage look of the surrounding area. You can see a progress photo below to see the treatment of the punched windows within the ceramic facade. Some of the windows are operable to allow fresh air into the building.
